Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

OPNMAT (the “Service”) is operated by OPNMAT LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

OPNMAT is an AI-powered coaching platform for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. Users upload video clips of sparring or competition footage and receive automated coaching feedback generated by artificial intelligence.

The service also includes community features: a public Open Mat finder, a community feed of shared analyses, public profiles, and commenting on public analyses.

The feedback provided is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for instruction from a qualified BJJ coach or physical trainer.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at support@opnmat.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 13 years old to use OPNMAT. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of all video content you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process, store, and analyse your content solely to provide the Service.

If you choose to make an analysis or your profile public, you grant us an additional licence to display that content to any visitor of the platform, including unauthenticated users. You can revoke this by toggling the analysis or profile back to private at any time; however, you acknowledge that content previously made public may have been cached or indexed by search engines and cannot be immediately removed from those caches.

By sharing footage that includes other people (sparring partners, opponents, coaches), you represent that you have the right to share that footage and that doing so does not violate the privacy or consent of those individuals.

You must not upload or publish content that:

  • Depicts minors in a harmful or sexualised context
  • Contains nudity or sexual content
  • Harasses, threatens, or demeans specific individuals
  • Violates any applicable law or third-party rights
  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms without notice.

To manage storage costs, raw video files are automatically deleted 60 days after upload. The AI coaching feedback, annotated frames, and analysis text are retained. Videos attached to a publicly-shared analysis are exempt from this auto-deletion while the analysis remains public. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

5. AI-generated feedback

Coaching feedback is generated automatically using large language models. It may contain errors, omissions, or advice that is not suitable for your specific situation. Always exercise your own judgement and consult a qualified coach before making changes to your training.

OPNMAT LLC makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated feedback.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You can cancel or change your plan at any time via the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again, and your access continues until then.

We do not offer refunds for partial months or unused analyses.

7. Community conduct

When using community features (public profiles, shared analyses, comments, Open Mat listings), you agree not to:

  • Post comments that harass, threaten, or demean other users
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Post spam, advertisements, or repetitive content
  • Share false or misleading information about academies or open mat schedules

We may remove comments or public content and suspend accounts that violate these standards, at our sole discretion.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform
  • Share account credentials or resell access
  • Use automated tools to generate analyses in bulk
  • Interfere with the platform's infrastructure or other users

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time via the Profile page. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OPNMAT LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
